This pivotal role involves utilizing virtual platforms to assist students with mild to moderate diagnoses, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and fellow professionals to design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.
- Provide counseling and emotional support to students dealing with social or emotional challenges.
- Engage in virtual meetings with school teams to monitor student progress, discuss strategies, and recommend interventions.
- Conduct virtual behavioral observations and offer actionable recommendations for support.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote students’ mental health and overall well-being.
- Proficiency in administering psychoeducational assessments and composing detailed reports.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws and proven experience with IEPs.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to work independently, effectively manage time, and maintain a reasonable caseload.
- Reliable internet access and necessary technology for remote work.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Arizona School Psychologist certification or eligibility to obtain one.
- Previous experience working with K-12 students, especially in a remote capacity.
