THIS IS A TEMP-TO-HIRE POSITION IN Virginia Beach, VA
Non-Profit Housing corporation in need of an Intake Coordinator to start immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct initial phone, Internet, and walk-in pre-screenings to determine initial eligibility for program.
• Timely, accurate collection of intake data for grant reports and internal evaluation.
• Determine eligibility for various programs and refer to appropriate community /private resources.
• Collect and input client data and documents into company computer systems
• Assist clients with increasing self-sufficiency and workforce development.
• Request and analyze program data in order to provide monthly reports.
• Provide training, data entry and reporting in quality assurance functions.
• Oversee onsite Food Pantry for program participants and general population.
• Backup for front desk receptionist and other related work as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or associated field preferred. Equivalent combination of education or 4 years related work experience
• Crisis counseling and/or call center/hotline experience preferred
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Strong customer service skills maintaining a ethical ad professional standards.
• Effectively respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
• Expected to demonstrate integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven and self-directed commitment while working with a diverse group.
• Strong MS Word, Excel and Outlook

HOURS: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Overtime possible

SALARY: $22.70 per hour, same upon hire est. $47, 216
