About Job

Part Time Trauma / Mental Health Therapist

KLWA is seeking licensed clinicians (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD) to join our team of talented and caring therapists. You can work remotely from anywhere in Texas, or join our team at our office in San Antonio (Stone Oak neighborhood).

We're starting a second practice, and have part time work available while we build up our client base. We expect to give the option of full time work in the coming months as our schedule fills up.

Kind, purposeful and thoughtful conversations have the power to transform our client’s lives. We’re dedicated to providing the same level of support and care to our employees as we do our clients.

Our practice is designed to let you focus on the work you love. You’ll have the flexibility of practicing in person at our office in San Antonio or from the comfort of your own home.

We offer competitive compensation, a flexible schedule and caseload, and room for professional growth, training, and advancement within the company. There’s no ceiling here - we’ll help you learn and grow as much as you’d like with fair compensation, a great work atmosphere, and support from our team.

Why work for us?

  • We’ll provide you with a part time caseload to start. As we grow, you'll have the option of taking on a full time caseload, or staying part time.
  • We value work-life balance and respect you and your time. We offer full remote work anywhere in Texas and local positions in San Antonio, giving you the freedom to manage your schedule and caseload to fit your needs.
  • Only private pay or 3rd party reimbursed clients - no Medicare or Medicaid clients.
  • If you're early in your career, we'll provide paid training and growth opportunities to help you establish your career.
  • Great pay and benefits with a fun-loving, supportive company atmosphere.
  • Freedom to self-manage, with the support and training to grow in your career.
  • Eclectic treatment models are welcome.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Perform thorough evaluations of clients' mental health, trauma history, and symptoms to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
  • Conduct one-on-one in-person or tele-therapy sessions.
  • Create Safe Spaces: Foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions, thoughts, and traumatic experiences.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: Coordinate care with other mental health professionals, medical staff, and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements:

Education and Licensure: Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Active and unrestricted license to practice as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW,LCPC, LPC, etc).

Compassion and Empathy: Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to establish rapport with clients to create a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly.

Ethics and Confidentiality: Adherence to ethical guidelines and maintaining strict confidentiality in all interactions with clients and their information.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to understand complex concepts to clients and colleagues.

Technology Proficiency: Basic computer skills for documentation and use of electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Our organization is committed to providing exceptional mental health services and promoting the well-being of our clients.
