Position Overview:

AriseVida Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our multidisciplinary team at our outpatient substance abuse clinic. The LPC will play a vital role in providing high-quality counseling and support to patients dealing with substance use disorders, particularly those undergoing opioid treatment programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in addiction counseling and demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Counseling & Support:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients with substance use disorders to identify needs, strengths, and challenges.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the medical director and multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support patients in their recovery journey.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emotional support as needed, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Educate patients and their families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and strategies for relapse prevention.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and pharmacists, to deliver coordinated care.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient care plans and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding and adherence to treatment plans.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any other relevant information.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations, including those governing the confidentiality of patient information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to clinic policies and procedures.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with best practices and developments in addiction counseling and mental health care through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain licensure and certifications as required by the state of Arizona and any relevant professional bodies.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Arizona.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, preferably in addiction counseling, mental health, or a related field.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting is highly desirable.

Certifications:

  • Additional certifications in addiction counseling or trauma-informed care are preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a clinical setting. The role may require the ability to sit or stand for extended periods and occasionally.
