Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Communicates with clients regarding their specific medical supply/equipment needs and benefits.
  • Communicates with physicians, case managers and other sources for continuing client care.
  • Requests/creates assignment of benefits, written orders, certified letters of medical necessity, prior authorizations and other required information.
  • Tracks and requests physician’s orders and prior authorizations as needed.
  • Maintains familiarity with the rules and regulations of Health First Colorado and other insurance companies.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records concerning all client related activity.
  • Secures rental cap letters from clients as needed.
  • Responsible for scheduling, generating and tracking all supply and equipment orders for delivery and pick up.
  • Works with Inventory Manager to meet the client’s needs for equipment and/or supplies.
  • Communicates and works effectively with Billing Specialists in coordination of care/reimbursement activities.
  • Responsible for forwarding necessary paperwork to other team members, as needed.
  • Responsible for ongoing communication and accurate record keeping with assigned clients regarding equipment changes, supply needs, change of demographics, insurance updates, etc.
  • Manages workload for timely and accurate processing of all required elements.
  • Assumes other duties within scope of training as assigned.
  • Promotes teamwork among co-workers, including assisting fellow office workers, as needed.
  • Communicates problems and concerns with supervisor that may lead to inaccurate or untimely completion of reimbursement processing and/or client dissatisfaction.
  • Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with clients and all other organizations.
  • Markets the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Environmental Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Must possess ability to work in and move about in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer.
  • Sitting in a seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Visual ability to read materials in either a printed format or on a computer screen.
  • Stamina to maintain attention to detail despite frequent interruptions.

Education:

  • Required: Graduate from an accredited high school or GED equivalency.

Qualifications:

  • Bi-Lingual English/Spanish Speaking Preferred
  • Good organizational skills
  • Willing to function as a cooperative team member
  • Responsible and mature attitude
  • Excellent communication and client relations skills
  • Detail oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.50 per hour

Experience:

  • customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
