The Suicide Prevention program is within the Clackamas County Public Health Division. The County is very assertive in its suicide prevention efforts and has made a great deal of progress in raising awareness and integrating screenings into services...but much more needs to be done to reach the goal of zero suicides in the diverse county in the Portland Metro area. Those in poverty are at greater risk of suicide due requiring a strong focus on low-income residents. The member would work closely with the County's Suicide Prevention Coordinator and the Coalition to Prevent Suicide, which recently created a Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan (SPAP). Your help is needed as a primary driver to advance the plan.***$10k Housing Allowance provided***Some virtual work possible.

Member Duties : The VISTA member will: Along with the County’s Suicide Prevention Coordinator and Steering other leaders, serve as the primary holder, driver, and sustainer in advancing the strategic directions of Clackamas County’s Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan (SPAP); develop, monitor, and regularly update a system for monitoring the status and effectiveness of SPAP strategic directions; serve as the primary holder, driver and champion of the Equity Assessment Screening Tool framework and lead incorporation of these principles into practice with all Action Teams (4).***$10k Housing Allowance Provided***Some virtual work possible.
