About Job
The Crisis Nursery is excited to grow our Therapy team for a greater impact to the children in our care!
Do you have a clinical interest and background in childhood trauma? Are you eager to help children build self-esteem and positive coping skills? When children visit the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, their families are in the midst of a crisis- they bring with them extensive fears, worries and traumatic experiences. Throughout their short-term stay, our incredible team of professionals give children nurturing care in a safe and trauma-informed environment.
During their time at the Nursery, children benefit from individualized therapy to learn new coping skills, build self-esteem and work through traumatic experiences. Our well-established Art and Play Therapy Program helps children to identify, express and regulate their emotions. As we expand this team of clinicians, we are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate therapist to provide trauma-informed therapy services within our fast-paced and collaborative environment. Clinical knowledge of the impact of trauma, as well as relevant assessment and crisis intervention skills are key to delivering tailored, strengths-based responses to best meet the needs of every child in our care.
For over 37 years, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery has been partnering with families in crisis, offering wrap-around support so that families remain intact, and children thrive. Our outcomes consistently show that families who engage in services have a reduced risk for child abuse & neglect and greater stability.
