About Job

Good Therapy San Diego (GTSD) is a group private practice with locations in Encinitas, Oceanside and Sorrento Valley. We are looking for an associate mental health therapist to join our excellent group of clinicians in Encinitas. This special group of clinicians are leading the way in treating what has now become a mental health crisis in the United States. We are seeing a surge in new clients needing trauma treatment and couples therapy, and we want you to help!

The Clinician role at GTSD is unique and exciting! We give you the ability to manage your own hours and case load while also providing access to a hard-working team of intake coordinators and supervisors / clinical leads, who can assist you with a range of administrative support, while you also learn the skills necessary for licensure and treatment of a range of diagnoses. Our goal is to hire a highly motivated associate who has already started their training in evidence- based modalities. In addition, we are looking for a therapist that has a growth mindset in regards to their clinical skills and has aspirations of growing within Good Therapy San Diego. Good Therapy San Diego is a generalized practice utilizing many evidence- based modalities, however, GTSD has become a hub for EMDR and is looking for skilled clinicians who are inspired and oriented towards trauma-informed care.

Clinician Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference with clinicians that have experience with adults, teens, couples and families in-person
  • At least 15-20 hours per week; approximately 3 days per week
  • Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health Field
  • Must be practicing with a valid associate number in the State of California for at least 1+ years and be EMDR Trained.
  • Clinician specialities should include anxiety, depression, relationships and trauma
  • Preference will be given to those who are trained in IFS, and Gottman Couples Therapy
  • Clinicians must have experience using ACT/CBT, DBT skills, and Mindfulness/Meditation
  • Experience with Simple Practice and Google Meet is a plus! (Not required)

Pay: Hourly rate is dependent on experience level

Benefits of GTSD:

  • We want to see our clinicians become skilled in a variety of modalities and hone in their interests and specialties as they grow with us. Therefore, we provide supervision, access to relevant trainings and consultations, including an onsite EMDR consultation group for those who need to accrue hours for certification.
  • Other benefits include:
  • Liability Insurance
  • Access to company health plan once employed full-time
  • Access to company 401(k) plan after 1 year of employment
  • Unlimited UTO, Accrued PTO and Sick Time
  • And more!

Reporting Structure:

  • The Clinician role is mostly independent. You are responsible for organizing your own schedule based on your availability and GTSD needs. We look forward to working with you!
