Homeward Bound is a behavioral health agency in Dallas with both residential and outpatient services. We are seeking a Qualified Mental Health professional who has a bachelors degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field to work in our growing outpatient program.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, capable of being self-motivated, have attention to detail, and be an excellent communicator with the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Complete mental health screenings with individuals in treatment.
- Become familiar with the Texas Resilience and Recovery Manual and be able to assign a client to the appropriate level of care and services.
- Complete ANSA training annually and conduct ANSA assessments with individuals every 6 months.
- Become adept in understanding the function of how the mental health outpatient program interfaces with all intra-agency programs
- Understand the care coordination process throughout the area.
- Create person-centered treatment plans with individualized goals, objectives, and strategies.
- Complete all parts of an intake with a client.
- Become capable in several EHRs and platforms in order to complete necessary documentation such as notes and financial information.
- Engage in effective case management for every level of care.
- Being willing to obtain or having a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor or Counselor Intern license is a plus.
- Being Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Be adept at assisting clients who have experienced significant amounts of trauma.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
